INSTRUCTIONS FOR KIT #2005530                SINGLE EXHAUST KIT                     JCW # 50-5923

FITS 1998-2003 DODGE DURANGO W/4.7L, 5.2L, 5.9L V-8, 2WD & 4WD.

NOTE:  DO NOT TIGHTEN ANY CLAMPS UNTIL THE LAST STEP!

1)  REMOVE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AT THE CLAMP BEHIND THE CONVERTER LEAVING ONLY THE ORIGINAL Y PIPE, RUBBER MOUNTS, AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON THE VEHICLE.

2)  INSTALL THE 2-1/2” I.D. END OF THE FRONT EXTENSION PIPE TO THE CONVERTER PIPE, USING A 2-1/2” CLAMP.  BE SURE TO LINE UP THE NOTCH ON THE PIPE. 

3)  USE A 3" MUFFLER CLAMP TO ATTACH THE INLET OF THE MUFFLER (CENTER INLET, SIDE OUTLET) AND THE FRONT EXTENSION PIPE TOGETHER. 

4)  INSTALL THE TAIL PIPE USING A 3" CLAMP TO THE OUTLET OF THE MUFFLER.  INSTALL THE TWO WIRE HANGERS ON THE TAIL PIPE THAT ARE JUST BEFORE THE REAR AXLE TO THE O.E. RUBBER HANGER MOUNTS ABOVE.  DO THE SAME FOR THE WIRE HANGER JUST AFTER THE REAR AXLE. 

5)  INSTALL THE REAR TAIL PIPE EXTENSION USING THE 3” CLAMP.

6)  TIGHTEN ALL CLAMPS AND CHECK FOR CLEARANCE OF THE FRAME, BODY, CHASSIS MEMBERS, AND BRAKE AND FUEL LINES.
