INSTRUCTIONS FOR KIT #2007385                SINGLE 2-1/2” KIT              # 50-9805

FITS 1992-1994 S10 Blazer/Jimmy (excluding Typhoon), 2 & 4 door, 2wd & 4wd, w/4.3L V6

NOTE:  DO NOT TIGHTEN ANY CLAMPS OR BOLTS UNTIL THE LAST STEP!

1)  REMOVE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AT THE FLANGE BEHIND THE CONVERTERS LEAVING ONLY THE ORIGINAL Y PIPE, RUBBER MOUNTS, AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON THE TRUCK.  YOU WILL NEED TO REUSE THE ORIGINAL METRIC BOLTS OFF OF THE O.E. FLANGE.  DISCONNECT THE FACTORY HANGERS FROM THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM, LEAVING THE RUBBER HANGER MOUNTS IN PLACE.  FOR THE HANGER ABOVE THE REAR OF THE MUFFLER, YOU WILL NEED TO RE-USE THE PART THAT BOLTS TO THE TAIL PIPE HANGER AND SLIDES INTO THE O.E. RUBBER HANGER MOUNT

2)  INSTALL THE FLANGED FRONT PIPE TO THE CONVERTER FLANGE.  ROTATE THE PIPE FOR CLEARANCE AND INSTALL THE ORIGINAL BOLTS LOOSELY ON THE FLANGE. 

3)  INSTALL THE MUFFLER TO THE EXTENSION PIPE (OFFSET IN TOWARDS THE DRIVE SHAFT, CENTER OUT) USING A 2-1/2” CLAMP.

4)  FOR THOSE WITH THE 4 DOOR MODEL ONLY, INSTALL THE OD END OF THE STRAIGHT OD/ID EXTENSION PIPE TO THE MUFFLER USING A 2-1/2” CLAMP. 

5)  INSTALL THE TAIL PIPE TO THE MUFFLER OR STRAIGHT OD/ID EXTENSION PIPE USING A 2-1/2” CLAMP. 

6)  INSTALL THE WIRE HANGERS THAT ARE ON THE TAIL PIPE TO THE O.E. RUBBER HANGER MOUNTS ABOVE THE TAIL PIPE. 

7)  TIGHTEN ALL CLAMPS AND BOLTS AND CHECK FOR CLEARANCE OF THE FRAME, BODY, AND BRAKE AND FUEL LINES.

DANGER WARNING:  SHOULD THE PURCHASER DECIDE TO INSTALL THIS, OR ANY OTHER EXHAUST PRODUCT AT HOME, BE WARNED THAT PLEASURE CAR OR LIGHT DUTY TRUCK/VAN "BUMPER JACKS" ARE INTENDED FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY.  THE USE OF FRAME CONTACT JACK STANDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FLOOR JACK AS MAIN SUPPORT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MINIMIZE ACCIDENTAL DROPPING OF A VEHICLE WHILE THE INSTALLATION PROCEEDS.
