INSTRUCTIONS FOR KIT #2008470                SINGLE EXHAUST KIT                     JCW #50-4861

Kit fits ‘92-’93 full-size GM 1/2 & 3/4 ton Suburban, 2WD & 4WD, w/350 c.i. motor only and 3” exhaust at the converter.  Will also fit 1994 ½ ton Suburban, and 1994-1995 ¾ ton Suburban with 3” exhaust at the converter, and not 2-3/4” flanged exhaust. 

NOTE:  DO NOT TIGHTEN ANY CLAMPS OR BOLTS UNTIL THE LAST STEP!

1)  REMOVE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AT THE CLAMP BEHIND THE CONVERTER LEAVING ONLY THE ORIGINAL Y PIPE, RUBBER MOUNTS, AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER ON THE TRUCK.

2)  SLIP THE FRONT EXTENSION PIPE (IT HAS TWO BENDS) INTO PLACE ON THE CONVERTER AND SLIDE A 3” CLAMP ON THE PIPE.  BE SURE TO LINE UP THE NOTCH.  

3)  INSTALL THE 3” FRONT HANGER CLAMP (#2973) TO THE EXTENSION PIPE AT THE FRONT O.E. RUBBER MOUNT, JUST AFTER THE 2^ND BEND IN THE FRONT EXTENSION PIPE.  ATTACH THE WIRE PORTION OF THE HANGER TO THE O.E. HANGER ALONG SIDE THE FRONT EXTENSION PIPE.

4)  USE A 3" MUFFLER CLAMP TO ATTACH THE INLET OF THE MUFFLER (CENTER INLET, SIDE OUTLET) AND THE FRONT EXTENSION PIPE TOGETHER.  THE OUTLET OF THE MUFFLER SHOULD LIE TOWARDS THE DRIVE SHAFT OF THE VEHICLE.

5)  INSTALL THE OVER THE AXLE SECTION OF THE TAIL PIPE USING A 3" CLAMP TO THE OUTLET OF THE MUFFLER. 

6)  INSTALL THE 3” MIDDLE  HANGER CLAMP (#2932) TO THE FRONT SECTION OF THE TAIL PIPE AT THE MIDDLE O.E. RUBBER MOUNT.  THE 3” MIDDLE HANGER CLAMP HAS A LONGER WIRE HANGER.  CONNECT THE WIRE PORTION OF THIS HANGER TO THE O.E. RUBBER MOUNT ABOVE.

7)  INSTALL THE REAR SECTION OF THE TAIL PIPE.  USE THE 3” REAR HANGER CLAMP (#2937) AT THE REAR O.E. RUBBER MOUNT TO CONNECT THE FRONT AND REAR TAIL PIPES TOGETHER.  INSTALL THE WIRE PORTION OF THIS HANGER TO THE O.E. RUBBER MOUNT ABOVE. 

8)  TIGHTEN ALL CLAMPS AND CHECK FOR CLEARANCE OF ALL BRAKE AND FUEL LINES, AND FRAME AND CHASSIS CLEARANCE.
